Everyday is different, but it is mostly helping tour directors with their tours, allocating those tours, recruitment, and most of the time we are emergency contacts when something goes wrong during a tour with a tour director.

I am currently working for the London regional office. There are several EF regional offices throughout Europe, and the head office is in Lucerne. Here we are six employees, but all London tour directors come in and out whenever they need to prepare for a tour. Every day is different and full of unexpected situations, as we handle not only the preparation related procedures, but also many of the “emergencies” that come up during tours. Each of us has a main responsibility, but we always help each other when one of us needs extra support. There is someone for local transport, airport transfers, general coordinator, manager and the trainee, who does a variety of tasks.

As Experience Scotland is a DMC, they create bespoke tailor made trips. These trips vary from leisure to conferences and incentives. Everything can be includes such as accommodation and ground services but the flight arrangements are excluded.
We organize trips for leisure/business clients who would like travel to other destination. We mostly work with groups from 10 pax. It can be an incentive trip, congress, meetings or for a big event.
Creating tailor made holidays for individuals and groups.
FIT department (1-16 pax): creating itineraries for individual bookings, entering bookings in in-house booking system, arranging transfers, arranging activities, advising travel agents, contacting hotels
Group department: (16+ pax): basically everything that the FIT department does, only it is split up in 3 different departments: customer care (receive the booking and make sure that the client stays up-to-date), accomodation (booking and contacting hotels) & operations (arranging transfers and activities).
