  Stay-Unique is a small apartment rental company for tourists, they manage around 85 apartments within Barcelona and since 2 years they manage a hotel as well called Barcelona 226. To distinguish themselves from the competitors Stay-Unique tries to be unique, they do this by offering the best customer service possible to guests. The motto of Stay-Unique is: come as strangers, leave as friends, this already sums up what Stay-Unique stands for and this applies not only to the guests but also to the employees and the interns.

  Selling unique and tailor made trips to Andalusia, Portugal, Morocco and the Sahara desert. Their goal is to travel as ‘local’ as possible and avoid mass tourism.

  The Tours department of EF in Madrid is organizing tours abroad for students from the United States and Canada. As a trainee at the Regional Office in Madrid, you will support the other people in the department, and you will provide the Tour Directors (the people who will be guiding a group of students on a tour) with all the information and service they need.

• Muchosol

  Muchosol stands for offering customer service and warranty. The role of the company is to only mediate between the rental agencies and the final customers. The customer service is about mediating between the agencies and customers before, during and after a booking has been made. Next to the customer service the customers of Muchosol have the warranty of booking an accommodation for the best price guaranteed. The product that is offered are villas, houses and apartments in mainly Europe.

  As an incoming agent A-incentives provides services for clients from all over Europe. The company works together with companies such as TUI NL, de Reisbeleving, Diogenis Reizen, Unravel and Deloitte. Together they take care of the event for the final client. Absolute Groups & Incentives has a lot of final clients from insurance companies and employment agencies. A-incentives organizes the entire trip up to the airport. Such as: hotels, transfers, guides, activities and excursions, restaurants, meetings and conferences.

  Due to the extensive experience in tourism and the MICE sector, A-incentives offers absolute professionalism and flexibility in planning, organising and implementing the event. In addition, Absolute Groups & Incentives has already had fifteen years of experience in the MICE sector

  

• MCI SPAIN

  The MCI Group is the “world´s leading provider of strategic engagement and activation solutions” (MCI SPAIN, 2016). MCI is a meeting and event management company, which operates in several offices all over the world. The company does not only plan meetings and incentives, but also consults their client’s in company content, social media and research matters. Their mission is to support multinational and international companies as well as organizations to grow globally and strengthen communities.

  The MCI office in Barcelona is divided in two departments. MCI (Meetings, Congresses and Incentives), which focusses on Spanish clients and organizes meetings, congresses, events and trips within Spain as well as worldwide with the help of one of the 60 international MCI offices.

  The department, where I did my internship, is called OVATION DMC, which mainly works with international clients who want to realize their meetings, congresses, incentives and/or trips in Spain. Most of the events take place in Madrid and Barcelona or in their surrounding areas.
