Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Accommodation: it is easily possible to find a room in the centre on arrival. However, you should plan a few days for that. If you are on a small budget, take even more time. There are a few (not nice, tiny, barely windows) rooms below 300€, there are quite some for 300€, but if you want to have a nice one, looking for it can take quite some time. If you are not on a low budet, there are plenty of nice rooms between 400€ and 500€.

Keep an eye on your belongings while in the crowded center…
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: There are plenty of leisure possibilities in and around the city and working for Lifestyle Experience Group you will get to know quite some while working anyways.

For getting to know the city there is a nice free walking tour in the centre (e.g http://www.newbarcelona-tours.com/daily-tours/free-tour-of-barcelona.html)

If you want to do some regular sports, finding a fitness studio shouldn’t be a problem either. However, another nice possibility is finding a bootscamp. Those are groups that train outside. I have just found one with the possibility to daily train in the park or on the beach with a group of people together. (e.g. http://www.urban-allstars.com/#!bootcamp-barcelona/c159h)
