Information about your placement

In which department(s) are you working? I have worked in Marketing Communications, part of Business Development.
Brief description of your daily activities: One of my main responsibilities, next to coordinating their 10th anniversary, was to keep their app (Conrad Concierge App) running smoothly by updating all available sections. This app doesn’t only provide information to guest on Conrad’s activities but also allowed them to personalize their stay on the touch of their fingertips. If you love to write and have experience in designing you could do a great job!

Furthermore, other daily activities included following up emails, arranging and coordinating photo shoots either for media or in-house marketing and joining weekly corporate meetings.

Lots of unplanned side activities that make this jobs exciting.
Brief description of your company assignment: My company assignment was to coordinate their 10th anniversary client event to be held halfway during my internship on March 20, 2014.

Planning phase (before event)

– Prepare all loading documents for suppliers
– Social talks with clients/guests
– Keep track of time as I was appointed as time-keeper

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: If you’re planning to drive a motorbike make sure to bring an international driver’s license. You can get if from ANWB for less than €20,00 and it’ll prevent you from getting tens of fines.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Hello, it’s Bali! There’s a lot to do for everyone.
