Information about your placement

In which department(s) are you working? I am cooperating at the E-team department which is responsible for the online marketing
Brief description of your daily activities: The main tasks for me was to check the current company website on any written (Dutch) mistakes and to translate (from English to Dutch) a whole new section for their website.

Furthermore, I got some other marketing tasks from the manager of the marketing department in Malaga, because her intern did not came and therefore she had a lot of work to do. Tasks I worked on were to:
– Upload promotion videos on websites of agencies
– Fill in all the course information (prices, accommodation possibilites etc.) on website of different agencies
– Copy and upload statistical information about the customers in excel and in other special programs

However, as I just said, I got these tasks because of the fact another department of another company (Academia Columbus) had a lot of work to do. Probably the next intern who is going to work at this department would the main task be to do translations.

Brief description of your company assignment: I did a competitive analysis where I researched and analysed the 3 main competitors of Enforex.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: Because of the fact my tasks were not very complicated I did not needed much supervision or explanation about the tasks. However, everybody in this company is very friendly and if you have any questions they are always willing to help you. There is a relax atmosphere, without much stress or hurry to finish something.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: I do not have specific recommendations regarding the work.
Maybe about finding a room. I found my room at www.idealista.com and had payed in advance already for my room so I was sure to have a room. However, there are mannyyyyy rooms available here in Madrid so what a lot of students do is sleep for the first day in a hostel and visit that day many different rooms so you can see the room and the neighbourhood first before you actually pay already for something where you are not sure about if it is good or not.
I was lucky that I had a very nice room, but I know another girl who would have prefer to book a hostel and made the choice here when she was in Madrid.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Madrid is a nice big city with a lot of leisure possibilities
– nice parks
– cultural things to see (palace, musea, nice buildings etc)
– different neighbourhood which each their own ´style´
– Old beautiful city Toledo which is 1 hour with the bus
– unfortunaltey no sea:p but there are swimming pools
– lots of nightlife possibilites, clubs, bars, everything!

It is definitly not a city where you will get bored.
