In which department(s) are you working? Hotelbeds Group is verdeeld in 4 afdelingen. Hotelbeds, Destination management (DS), Transfer&activity bank (TAB) en Joint Ventures.

Ik werk voor de afdelingen DS en TAB en daar zit ik op de Sure2Care afdeling.
Brief description of your daily activities: 100% kantoorwerk
Ieder dag van 08:00 tot 17:15 en op vrijdag van 08:00 tot 13:00
Ik heb dagelijks email contact met Activiteiten bedrijven over de hele wereld. Ik stuur vragenlijsten, die gericht zijn op Health & Safety, naar deze bedrijven. Zodra ik de ingevulde lijsten terug krijg worden ze beoordeeld en is het onvoldoende dan is het mijn taak om te zorgen dat het bedrijf stappen onderneemt om zijn score te verbeteren.

How to certify the sustainability of an excursion.

Ik maak een plan over duurzaamheid van excursies en wat de beste manier is om dit te certificeren. daarnaast zoek ik uit of het daadwerkelijk voordeel heeft als een excursie duurzaam is.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: De begeleiding is super. Je kunt alles vragen en er wordt serieus tjid voor je genomen. Ook voor vragen of problemen die niet werkgerelateerd zijn kun je altijd terrecht.

What did the company pay for/to you? Het bedrijf geeft stagiaires een vergoeding van €550 p.m en je kunt iedere dag gratis gebruik maken van de bedrijfs bus.
Accomodatie moet je zelf regelen maar ze geven wel tips waar je het beste een kamer of appartement kunt vinden.

Culture

How did you prepare for the country’s culture?
Niet, Mallorca zit vol Engelse en vooral Duitse toeristen. Er is dus ook weinig terug te vinden van de originele spaanse Cultuur. De echte spanjaarden wonen in het binneland en aangezien je daar niet snel komt, heb je dus weinig contact met de Cultuur.

Het blijft natuurlijk wel Spanje, dus als de bus een keer niet komt opdagen is dat heel normaal!

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Zorg ervoor dat je alles op tijd regelt.

Hotelbeds wil voordat je begint alle documenten binnen hebben. Ik moest een NIE nummer en social security number aanvragen en een spaans rekening nummer openen. Het NIE nummer kun je aanvragen bij de Spaanse ambassade in Amsterdam maar je social security number moet je aanvragen bij de Dirección Provincial de la Seguridad Social in Palma. Je kunt dit nummer pas aanvragen als je je NIE nummer hebt. Zorg er dus voor dat je op tijd naar de Spaanse Ambassade gaat.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Huur een fiets, scooter of auto en verken het eiland. Of neem de boot naar ibiza of Menorca.Er is genoeg te zien en te doen op Mallorca zelf
Ga er niet vanuit dat Mallorca het hele jaar door een Party eiland is waar altijd de zon schijnt want dat is niet zo. Ook hier is het winter met regen en wind en alleen in Juni, Juli en Augustus zijn de discotheken vol.
