Brief description of your daily activities: – Brochure loading
– Web loading activities

Brief description of your company assignment: I made a Strategy, tactical and operational marketing plan about My A&K. To increase the amount of users on the portal. I developed a campaign to promote the portal of A&K.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: My supervisor Joel is the Head of Marketing and a really busy man. Never seen such a smart marketing minded person. I learned a lot from him, and he is really willing to teach you everything. He involved me in most of his meetings and he gives challenging tasks. When he was too busy, Krizia (the Marketing Coordinator) jumped in, and gave me some tasks to do.

Would you recommend to have a language course prior to this placement? No, my English level was even below average level at the start of the internship, but it improved a lot during the internship at A&K.

What did the company pay for/to you? I received 300$ each week. but unfortunately I had to pay taxes! so at the end of the month I received 980$. Back in Holland you can collect the TAX back

Actually I didn’t prepare, it’s very similar with the dutch culture, especially in the big cities I guess.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Go sightseeing in Melbourne but also outside the City! There are a lot of nice beaches and national parks. My 20 weeks went so fast! just enjoy every weekend and do a lot of trips.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Melbourne is amazing! A really nice place to live. There is always something happening in the city and you can’t get bored. there are a lot of day trips or 2 day road trips in the surrounded area; Great Ocean Road, Grampians, Philip Island, Wilson Promontory, Ballerat and Mornington Peninsula (hotsprings)
