Organization’s activities: Málaga Bike Tours is a bike rental and bike tour company owned by Kay Farrell. The company was established in May 2008 and is the pioneer bicycle tour company in the city of Málaga. The company has built up a solid reputation and has been the number 1 activity in Málaga on TripAdvisor for approximately six years. They offer bicycle tours in the city of Málaga with a professional and a uniquely personalized service. It is the perfect way to get to know the city and learn about the history and culture of Málaga. Málaga bike tours shows the tourists an extended overview of Málaga while passing different monuments and areas, where the tourist can choose places they wish to visit with the tour guide. Tours run every day between 10 AM and 3 PM or 4PM in July and August. The guides at Málaga Bike Tours speak Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish. Málaga Bike Tours also offers the possibility to rent bikes.

In which department(s) are you working? As a tour guide.
Brief description of your daily activities: I lead bike tours in Dutch and in English. In my last week I helped with renting out bikes.
Brief description of your company assignment: I had to write 10 blogs in English and Dutch about other places people can visit in the surroundings of Málaga.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: I had great guidance from my supervisor and colleagues.

I traveled to Spain before so I did not need to prepare. I only read a book about Málaga before, This is very handy to get an idea about the city and things to do in and around Málaga.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Explore as much as you can! Definitely visit as many places you can around Málaga. Andalusia is a very beautiful province with an interesting history and culture.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: When you are in Málaga the Malagueta beach can not be missed. Furthermore there are outdoor places to practice sports.
