It is never boring at the office, sometimes stress full, the tasks are always different, for example, I had to find music and create a playlist for a training for employees
Brief description of your company assignment: Designing a handbook for other HR interns that will follow up. Including explanation of documents, files, and tasks et cetera
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The supervision is great, considering we are only with three at the office and both ladies are super nice. They are both quite young and thus we have quite the same interests, as well as subjects to talk about. As Evicka, the manager, already worked with trainees, she knows what she is doing and is very actively involved. Both colleagues help whenever needed. The office atmosphere is great and quite informal.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Should you take the bus, be prepared to the buses arriving late or sometimes not showing up at all.

Luckily the ones to Radisson Blu Golden Sands, so far have always showed up, nevertheless, late (still in time for work considering I live 5 minutes away by bus)

Try to find accommodation in the area of St. Paul’s Bay, Buggiba, Mellieha, or Imgarr

Malta is an amazing culturally rich island, however, the people can be very rude. To be honest I think I am lucky with my colleagues as they are the nicest people. In general, mainly talking about the bus drivers, the Maltese can be impolite and rude. (Luckily there are many expats that make up for it).

When you travel by bus, make sure you either buy a Tallinja card, or have change. There are bus drivers that will call you names (literally) and yell at you for not having change for a bus ticket
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Although Malta is a very small island, it is such a beautiful one, as well. There is so much to see regarding culture and nature. There are beaches, you can do amazing walks, a going out centre (Paceville), historical places, and some shopping facilities. Recommended to see: Valletta, Comino, Gozo, Saint Peter’s Pool, Ghajn Tuffieha, Mdina (!), Spinola Bay, Mistra Bay, Sliema for shopping. If your willing to climb down some rocks etc. you will be able to find private swimming areas. I am probably forgetting something.
