Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Within the company:
– From the first day on it is important to let the supervisor know that you need one day per week to work on your school assignments. Select one day per week that you’ll be working on those (for instance, I choose every Tuesday to be my school day).
– The company is interested in knowing your opinion about matters. Thus, don’t be shy!

Accommodation:
– Try to get an apartment nearby the office!
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Nearby J&TI Events:
Forgot your lunch? There are plenty of possibilities to get lunch in the are: a bakery, bars, supermarket or the market. Also, the team orders coffee every day at the bar for around 1 euro. Perfect if you need a shot of caffeine.

In Rome:
– Visit the highlights during low season, it gets very busy in Rome from Easter on. Most of the highlights have free entrance on the first Sunday of the month except for the Vatican. You can visit the Vatican for free on every last Sunday of the month.
– An Italian concept is the aperitivo: a drink and unlimited buffet for around €10 which you can do in many restaurants. Something you can’t miss!
– Missing the movie theatre? You can get a cinema youth pass for €15 at Cinema Fiamma (near Barberini). This pass allows you to see 5 movies, all displayed in OV.
– If you get tired of all the pizzas and pastas or just want something different; San Lorenzo is the perfect area to find international cuisines.
