The backpackers has also the opportunity to book a tour with us.

Information about your placement

In which department(s) are you working? Reception/Inbound coordinator
Brief description of your daily activities: Reception duties: handling and transferring in-coming phone calls, processing emails and responding to members requests, updating reception records, greeting and welcoming visitors, providing information and assistance to them, maintaining the computerised database etc.
Sales: selling various professional short courses, Wwoof memberships, sim cards, local support memberships.
Human resources: selecting and posting jobs on our computerised job database, promoting our job support services, providing basic job search information to our members.
Customer service: performing a wide range of customer service related duties on a daily basis, providing technical and moral support to our members whenever required, for example helping them to settle down in Australia, and find suitable accommodation.
Office support: providing general support to other team members and to Management.
Management Scenic tours and social events: taking part and organizing social events in and around Sydney.
Social media: ongoing update of our social media channels.
Brief description of your company assignment: I have written a report about how to attract more Italian people, to attract more nationalities.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: During my internship my supervisor has changed and here through he didn’t work on the same department. What makes it sometimes a little bit more difficult to have contact.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: If you have the time to travel, travel the east coast it is beautiful. And save a lot of money before you go.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: There is a lot to do in the area of Sydney. There a lot of beaches and national parks and also in the city you will never be bored.
