Organization’s activities: Management department: managing tours and bookings, contacting collaborators, customer service, product development, brainstorm ideas, researching gap in the market, researching topics for the Andalusian Travel Blog.
Marketing department: marketing plan, strategy, managing social media platforms, Google Analytics research, researching improvements, monitoring results.
Media department: responsible for Photoshoots, photograph workshop, taking pictures for inspiration, taking pictures for the website/blogs/social media.
Offering tours, based on the local (Andalusian) culture: tour guides, managing tours, writing tour plots.

Company culture: – Informal: my boss is very flexible and everything is discussable.
– Weekly meeting with the team for brainstorm sessions.
– Weekly report: everyone has to write what they’ve done every week, the problems you’ve faced, improvements, brainstorm ideas and writing down how much time each task takes.
– Using Trello for time management: a work overview.
– Using Toggl for time management: to measure the time for each task.
– Using Google Drive: everybody in the company has access to this. We share all our documents so that everyone knows what is going on and to help each other.

Brief description of your daily activities: Managing tours and bookings, contacting collaborators, customer service, product development, brainstorm ideas, researching gap in the market, researching topics for the Andalusian Travel Blog and writing tour plots.
Brief description of your company assignment: The company’s main assignment entails creating new products in other cities, such as Granada and Sevilla. Therefore, feasibility study needs to be done to find a gap in the market to be able to create these new products. This entails a lot of other activities, for example searching for new providers, analysing the competition and promoting the new products by marketing
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: Alicia Cobos Recio is my supervisor and the owner of Oh My Good Guide. She is young, enthusiastic and flexible. She helps me when I need it and gives me feedback, which I appreciate very much.

I knew Malaga already and I am very familiar with the Spanish culture. It was easy for me to adapt.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do:
What to do:
– Visit museums.
– Discover the nightlife of Malaga.
– Walk around the historic centre of Malaga and discover many interesting things.
– Eat local.
– Go to the central market.
– Visit the beach and the two old fisher neighbourhoods: Pedregalejo and El Palo.
What NOT to do:
Nothing. You have to get out of the house and discover the local culture yourself.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Malaga has a LOT to offer. I fell in love with this city. It’s lively, inspiring and many interesting things to see and to visit.
