Brief description of your daily activities: – contacting clients & suppliers by phone and mail
– preparing proposals for clients (Power Point Slides)
– creating budgets (Excel Sheets)
– going on site inspections (visiting different hotels, venues, restaurant, sightseeing activities etc)
– preparation + follow up on confirmed offers
– on-site assistance during events
– post event administration – invoicing
Brief description of your company assignment: An ethnographic analysis of previous MICE visitors in Stockholm
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The supervision has been really great. I could always rely on their help whenever needed. Nevertheless they also give you the opportunity to work independently, which I really appreciated!

Other information
Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: – buy a 3months public transportation card (SL access) as it is cheaper than a monthly one
– try to get the student discount as often as possible
– bring a proper lunch to work, as Stockholm is pretty expensive & usually every from the office brings their own lunch swell
– be careful while looking for an apartment in Stockholm, there are many frauds
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: – running in the parks / forest
– cycling through the city
– boat tours in the archipelago
– visiting all kind of different museums
– sightseeing in general
– Café & Bar hopping
