In which department(s) are you working? Procurment & Program Management Office (PPMO)
Brief description of your daily activities: Tasks depending on their activities were given on a daily basis.
Brief description of your company assignment: Conducting surveys at RWMF and analyzing the data.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The first month I felt like the supervision was not that strict, as they did not notice I did not have much to do. After this first month it improved, because I had much more to do and thus was supervised better.

What did the company pay for/to you? I got financial compensation of RM20 per working day (€5 a day). Furthermore, whenever there was a festival, the company would pay transportation (car/airplane), accommodation and meals.

I did some research on the internet and my dad who’s been to Malaysia before has told me some things.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Realize that it is a different culture and thus a different working environment/culture. The work tempo is not the same in the Netherlands, so be patient. You will learn a lot about organizational behavior and communication skills.Furthermore, your colleagues are very friendly and will make you feel welcome.
