In which department(s) are you working? Centre for Cross-Cultural Understanding
Brief description of your daily activities: My daily activities included all kinds of activities that contribute to a deeper insight into the improvement of the international classroom, which the associate professorship of Center for Cross-Cultural Understanding helps implementing at NHTV. This includes:

research (all activities involve in social research), attended a seminar and meeting in-line with my research.

Moreover I was in support with the policy, in consultation with the internationalization at the central level of the NHTV

Brief description of your company assignment: A research about international students with a focus on African students of NHTV in an international classroom, the extent in which they see themselves integrated inside and outside the institution. The aim is to further develop the concept of the international classroom, as this area is the backdrop for most of the research conducted in the Center for Cross-Cultural Understanding.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: My supervisor is very supportive and always available whenever needed (even though he is at times busy). Other staff I was attached to were available too for guidance and help throughout my placement. Nevertheless, the whole process requires self motivation and the ability to work independently.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: To work in this company, I will suggest: be initiative, you need the ability to work independently, talk to as much people as possible (the sooner, the better!).
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Breda has a lot to offer, ranging from historical sites (museums), festivals (carnivals), night life etc. Thus there is always something for everybody.
