Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: I personally do not recommend Malta as a country for your placement. There is very little to do on the island. And most companies do not give their interns any responsibilities and very little work. I think I am very lucky to be at the Marketing Department.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Very little. From February until mid April there is almost nothing to do except for bowling, cinema, and restaurants. As of mid April the weather is nice and you can go to the beach and do sightseeing. Transport around the island is very cheap (€1.50 for a day bus ticket) and get you anywhere. If you’re lucky, the bus will show up.
