Company culture: There is an owner of the company plus other operating staff located on two floors inside the facility building. Nice working ethic, very professional and responsible.

Information about your placement

In which department(s) are you working? I would have to say various ones, but mainly assisting administration and touring department.
Brief description of your daily activities: Assisting the different departments, working on specifically dedicated tasks, working on the sepcial assignments, pick ups from the airport sometimes
Brief description of your company assignment: Working alongside with my supervisor, in order to provide the a more sustainable foundation for the company’s future. Travellife was the main platform which the company strives to become a member of at the end of 2017.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: Bishnu Subedi – a very respectable and always helpful guy, that assisted me in every way possible and made sure I learned a lot inside the office, as well as in my free time, when he provided extra services and perks for me.

I watched a lot of youtube videos and read a lot of material about the country’s culture and habits.
Did the culture of the country influence your performance during the placement in any way? Definitely – it opened my eyes a whole lot more in many aspects

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: You should definitely be ready to experience a different cultural aspects
You must be careful while walking the streets – Kathmandu is a very busy city
Try and avoid the local snacks, that street vendors are selling, cause you might get diarrhea
Walk on the edge of the walkways, because drivers do not follow or obbey rules
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Many possibilities to roam around within the city – Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Patan, Pasupatinath, Boudhanath and so many more…
