How did you arrange your accommodation? I arranged my accommodation through relatives who live in Rio de Janeiro. On http://www.easyquarto.com.br/ I found a room in Copacabana and before I arrived in Rio they had already spoke to the Land Lord and arrange things and helped me getting there and making sure everything was fine!
How did you go to work every day? By foot

Do you need a visa? No , but regulations have changed for Dutch citizens to Brazil, so therefore you need to leave the country and return to get another 90 days tourist visa. A great option is to visit the Iguazu Falls half way your internship!

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Try to see as much of the country as you can and take in mind it is quite expensive to live here, comparable to Holland.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: A lot; beach, shopping, sports, favela, lapa (clubbing), Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf.
