Brief description of your daily activities:
– Advertising and PR activities through social media channels
– Publishing online content and moderating forums and adverts
– Writing, researching and updating (new) country guides
– Translating articles, guides and the site itself (for native speakers of different languages).
– Writing community blogs
Brief description of your company assignment: Updating the France guide (last updates were in 2003, many things have changed since that time) and translating the whole guide into Dutch
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: Editorial manager works in the same office space. Communication takes place via the chat or just orally. We also have weekly meetings to discuss the individual projects we are working on.

Talking a little bit with (Spanish) friends who had been to Madrid. I already knew some Spanish.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Enjoy Madrid, go to parks, drink cerveza and eat tapas. Practice your Spanish. Don’t think people will just understand English.
