Organization’s activities: You will be working at Altis Grand hotel, this is also the head office from the group Altis Hotels. It is a landmark 5 star hotel in Lisbon with a location in central Lisbon, within walking distance of the Avenida Liberdade. This hotel’s timeline is linked to contemporary history of the country, which regularly hosts media events. It is acknowledged by many for the quality of its services.

In the second trimester of 2014, Altis Grand Hotel completed his widest renovation ever. The transformation of 300 deluxe and superior rooms, a presidential suite, lobby area, public spaces, bars, meeting rooms and a new spa were introduced. The building and the interior are designed by Portuguese artists.

Besides 300 rooms (including 11 suites) and 20 meeting rooms, Altis Grand Hotel offers 6 restaurant and bars. For example a restaurant with an amazing panoramic view, a restaurant for lighter meals and business meetings and a bar with city views.

The Gspa offers not only fitness but also wellness and aesthetic medicine. It has a swimming pool area, sauna, hammam, gym and treatment rooms.

Information about your placement

In which department(s) are you working? I worked at different departments. I started at the E-commerce department, then I went to the marketing department, after that I went to the sales department and now I am working at the groups department.

Brief description of your daily activities: As I mentioned above I have worked at different departments.
I had a lot of daily activities, so I will mention the most important activities.

E-commerce: – I had to check and adjust if the prices from all our rooms were right on all the websites, like Booking.com and our own website.
– At these websites I also had to close or open the rooms.

Marketing and sales: – I had to write texts for Altis Hotels at Booking.com and blogs from Altis.
– Altis Hotels offers a client card. I helped with making new cards and I helped with all the technical parts of the card.
– I had to make follow-up emails for our clients and I had to call them as well.

Groups: I have:
– to reserve, cancel or check rooms and meeting rooms for groups.
– to help in answering e-mails about the reservations.
– to make a lot of e-mails with registrations forms, bills, offers etc.
– to make roominglists

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Buy a WTF prepaid card. For 10,50 per month: 5 gb and unlimited using of Facebook, WhatsApp, Facetime, Skype, Instagram, Snapchat etc.
