In which department(s) are you working? Product/marketing department
Brief description of your daily activities: Product and marketing-related activities such as, making competitor analysis, creating digital magazines about a destination, writing blogs about destinations, website testing, analyzing the cruise market, analyzing the target group of families, selecting hotels for different discounts
Brief description of your company assignment: Writing a marketing plan for the upcoming winter sun season of 2016/2017. Firstly conduct an analysis of the current situation of the winter sun market and afterwards designing a new marketing plan for the upcoming season including making decisions based on products, price and target group.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: Good supervision. Always helping when asking questions, also focusing on developments within the company. Honest and relliable feedback given during the assessment.

How did you prepare for the country’s culture?
I have read some articles on the Internet of the Belgian culture and the restaurant I work at in my hometown I also a restaurant where a lot of Belgian people are coming. Furthermore, I just experienced the company culture in the first two weeks of the placement period.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Do not be very extravert in the first two weeks of the placement, but develop yourself during the period and be very social and open to the people at the office.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Antwerp is a very attractive city for all kinds of leisure possibilities; shopping center, cinema, lots of restaurants and bars etc.
