How did you prepare for the country’s culture?
I did not prepare except for reading some information online. Definitely had a culture shock when I arrived but if it is your first time in a country where machismo is openly shown you will be surprised no matter how good you prepared before hand.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Do not walk outside when it is dark, always take a taxi
watch your belongings
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: A lot of tourists sights are within one 1 hour (bus) of Granada. Granada is the most touristic town in the country, therefore a lot of restaurants and bars. Gyms are available as well
