Brief description of your company assignment: Carrying out a survey regarding a product of Ruhr Tourismus.
ExtraSchicht is a yearly event in the Ruhr Area and each year the key visual, that represents the design and brand core of the event, is changed. The survey should solve the problem if the key visual is understood by the visitors and if they understand the intention behind the design.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The company style is rather informal and due to this I also had a good supervison by the company. Whenever there was a problem I had many people I could contact and who were willing to help me.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Be flexible also with the department choice. Each department here is willing to accept an intern and each department is worth to do a placement in. Sometimes department also work together.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: The Ruhr Area has a lot to offer. Due to the industrial background of the region, there are many places to visit where you can still experience the industrial age. In addition, many theme parks and festivals take place here. But also public leisure possibilities like swimming pools or indoor playgrounds can be found here.
