Organization’s activities: Landal Resort Eifeler Tor rents bungalows and apartments. In addition, they have many facilities for their guests, such as two restaurants, a snack bar, 2 swimming pools, a bicycle rental, a supermarket, a souvenir shop, meeting rooms and fun and entertainment for the children.
Target group of the organization: Most of the guests comes from the Netherlands and Belgium. However a small part of the guests is German. The guests are of all ages and among the target group belong many families, groups of friends and couples.
Company culture: The atmosphere in this company is very friendly and open! The relationship between the manager and employees is also very good! So the company culture is very informal. The company is controlled by the park manager and he is supported by an assistant park manager. The department kitchen, restaurant, reception and technical services, they all have a department manager. The administration is done by 2 employees and the animation by a number of employees. Finally, there is an external cleaning company for the cleaning of the accommodations.

Most of the employees are German, but some of the employees are Dutch or can understand this language.

In which department(s) are you working? Mainy, I am working at the management department. But sometimes I am working at the reception, restaurant and shop.

Brief description of your company assignment: I look at opportunities to increase the spending per guest in the restaurant.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: As a trainee, I can say that the supervision is very good. In addition, you also get a lot of responsiblity and independence! If there are any questions, you can always ask them in personal. In addition, you will work in the same office as the managers, so there is a close cooperation. Finally, you are also good accompanied by making the assignment.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Having a driver’s license is very practical, since you need a car to get at certain facilities, such as the supermarket.
This company is a very nice one for your internship, because you can learn a lot and your colleagues are very friendly!
The company would like to help you with your learning goals!
The internship is incredibly varied and you get many responsibility.
