Organization’s activities: Panorama Destination is a new DMC in Thailand and therefore, creating tours with optional excursions in Thailand. i had the chance to see this all from the beginning.
hereby did i saw how:
– the company is settled
– where the excursions where created
– how the marketing in a new company is going to work
– how they find new contracts with suppliers
Target group of the organization: Dutch customers and World Wide
Company culture: the company i worked was very formal in the beginning but after a month of 3 this was less and less.
in Thailand you will see a lot of hierarchy. you will see this for example on the work floor. here you can't say anything to a higher staff member if you don't know them. but I started just when the company began so, during my period it was less than expected.

In which department(s) are you working?

i worked for the department of FOX verre reizen in Panorama Destination.

Brief description of your daily activities: most likely i worked on creating a database for the G.I.T and the F.I.T customers from Panorama destination.
also, i worked for the FOX customer care in Bangkok. here i had to talk with the Dutch customers that booked our tour in Thailand and during their tour i would call them and look how everything is with the client.
Brief description of your company assignment: my company assignment was to analyse why the concurrent was cheaper than the FOX tours that we offer. i had to analyse the 3 main tours that FOX is offering in Thailand and had to compare this with the concurrent Kras, NRV and Stip based on their tours that are comparing with the tours from FOX.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: i had a good supervisor that helped me a lot during my time here in Thailand.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: it is helping you to learn the language a little bit because most Thai people don't speak very well English. also, if you speak here in English don't speak good English the Thai people have their own accent of English try to learn that instead.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: there are plenty enough leisure possibilities in the city and surroundings you only have to find what you like here.
