Brief description of your daily activities: – Making tailor-made proposals (powerpoint and corresponding pricelists);
– Logistic task: contact with suppliers like hotels, restaurants and transfer companies;
– Developing new programs, packages and Making research of new destinations and products;
– Assistance during organization;
– Updating Social Media
Brief description of your company assignment: Writing a strategy report in order to optimize their social media strategy and to extend their CRM base via these channels
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: Tiziana (Managing Director) has mainly the supervision of the entire company, but other colleagues will help you wherever possible.

How did you prepare for the country’s culture?
Not so much actually, I travelled a lot in the past to Italy and I lived before in Slovenian Istria where the Italian culture is mingled. However, Rome is a different city itself compared to the rest of Italy.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: – At the beginning of your placement, discuss on which day you want to work on school
– Arrange your Codice Fiscale (tax code) on time! It might take some receive it
– Try to find accommodation nearby the office, public transport isn’t the most reliable
– Never order a cappuccino after 11 am
– Enjoy your time to the fullest, it is an amazing experience
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: – Trastevere is the district for good food and going out
– On the first and last Sunday’s of the month; museums, Colosseo and Vatican are open for FREE! Be on time, otherwise, the queue is horribly long
– Travel also outside Rome; Naples, Amalfi Coast, Puglia etc. there are more beautiful places than the city
– Try the apperitivo, it is an Italian concept with one drink and unlimited buffet for around €10.
