Organization’s activities: Irish Welcome Tours (IWT) is a leading Incoming Tour Operator & Destination Management Company based in Dublin, Ireland. IWT specialises in Individual (FIT) and Group Travel in Ireland, Scotland, England & Wale.

Company culture: The company has a very pleasant culture, with a lot of interns to hang out with. There is an informal atmosphere and there are often fun activities organized within the company.

Operation Department

Brief description of your daily activities: My Primary responsibility was to assist in a team managing. I had to booked accommodation for clients, entered and operate all group in Tour plan. Furthermore I also had to booked lunches and visit for groups and making sure that the timings for each visit was realistic. In addition I also had to issued invoices, booked guides and coach drivers, entered and send out hotels list and make sure that all re-confirmations to services are sent out to suppliers.
Brief description of your company assignment: I had to researched about culture diversity and how to approach clients from different countries, such as Europe, Asia and America
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: In my department they supervise me often at the beginning. After 3 month the supervision became less because they find that I was working more independently and most of the things I could have done on my own. I had conversations on how I was performing with me mentor and the general manager of my department.

Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: You will have a great time here, Dublin is a very lively city with lots to do and see. Traveling through Ireland is also very easy and pleasant to do.
