Other information
Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Do not expect that you can cycle easily and that you can go to work by bus. Public transport can be quite a mess and the drivers drive quite dangerous.
Do go explore the island in your leisure time. There is so much to see!
Try to learn some Maltese words like bongu, mela, grazzi and awguri, this will be appreciated hugely!
At the Marina, everyone greets each other and asks: “All right?”, have some small talk.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Paceville obviously is where the nightlife is.
The busses easily go to Valletta (capital) and Sliema which you should check out as well.
