Organization’s activities: Enjoy Apartments is a company which rents out apartments worldwide. The head office of Enjoy Apartments is located in Barcelona. They have apartments all over the world, but most of them are in Barcelona. In 2002 Enjoy Apartments was established as Enjoy Holidays S.L. The name Enjoy Apartments is the commercial name for this company.
The company offers apartments for short-stays, monthly- and long-term stays. Some of the apartments are managed by Enjoy Apartments. For this apartments the company handles the bookings, the check-ins, the cleanings, the contact with the guests etc. Besides this, Enjoy Apartments has apartments for which they only handle the bookings. They work as an intermediary for the apartments (Online Travel Agency).

Brief description of your daily activities: Channel management:
– Checking the -emails
– Processing the new bookings on the different channels
– Controlling the calendars of all the apartments on different sales channels
– Posting new apartments on the website/channels
Revenue management:
– Keeping the revenue sheets up to date
– Update the pricing where is needed
Reservation management:
– Have contact with the coming guests
– Make a check-in schedule every week
– Make a cleaning schedule for the apartments
Operational tasks:
– Handle check-ins and check-outs
– Make overviews
Brief description of your company assignment: Enjoy Apartments wants to improve their collaborations with franchisees. I have to invest how we can make a standard format for a sales-revenue report to send to the franchisees.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: In the first weeks you are ”thrown in the deep”. After the first time you get to know what you have to do and they will help you if you need help. Ralph wants to support you often with your company assignment.

I visited Spain (and Barcelona) a lot of times before, so I already know things about the culture.
I had Spanish classes on Buas and bought a book about Catalonia & Barcelona.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: – Live in a student house, in this way you meet a lot of nice people (and international).
– Go to meetings (Meetup app) and to parties to get to know new people.
– Travel by metro! It is not expensive and its the easiest way to come everywhere.
– Try to speak Spanish in the restaurants and supermercado. When you try, the people will help you.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Go walking around in every barrio and get lost! You can visit all the small streets and see a lot of nice (local) restaurants in this way.

– Go with the Erasmus tours on excursion (cheap and nice places)
