Information about your placement

I worked in the FIT department.

Brief description of your daily activities: I started with booking services, before I started creating offers. I was also in charge of the correspondence via phone and email with our suppliers and clients.
Brief description of your company assignment: I mostly worked with my supervisor/ colleague for our Australian clients, therefore my topic focuses on: How to attract the Australian market in de-seasonality, so what can be attractive for them to not only travel in Summer and Winter season.
For my specialization assignment I chose Inspiring people.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: I was very happy with my company supervisor, who was also my colleague. She trained me in my first weeks and was always there to answer questions or help me. We came along very good with each other, she taught me all the way through and I learned a lot from her. She had also always an open ear for me.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: If you come during the winter period, bring really warm clothes and be prepared that is going to be very icy, in the worst case you can buy spikes here to put on your shoes. Otherwise Norway and especially Oslo is very modern, it is not a huge difference to the Netherlands and nearly everybody speaks English.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Oslo has a lot of nice parks and museums, as well as a lot of bars and restaurant, but as going out is quite expensive, people do a lot at home with friends, either partied or cooking or just spending nice evenings together. But when going out be careful, some bars have age restriction from 23/25 years after 8 pm.
