Information about placement organization
Type of organization: Tour operator
Organization’s activities: There are two main activities that Norway Adventures focuses on. The first part is the Tailor-Made tour operator. Which designs completely (high-end) custom tours. The second part of Norway Adventures focuses on the organisation and running of multi-day hiking and kayak trips in the Norwegian fjord area.
Target group of the organization: Relatively wealthy tourists
Company culture: The company is relatively small and therefore its employees do a lot of different things. I have now been working at Norway Adventures for about 2.5 months and have been given quite important tasks. So interns are expected to take their work seriously however their is enough room for a joke every now and then! The owners that both also work in the company full time are very approachable to help.
Number of employees: 4 – 10 (season depended)
Dress code: casual
Did the organization meet the agreements you made beforehand? yes

Other information
Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: I would recommend bringing a car.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: The Norway Adventures office as well as the employee house is in the village of Davik. The village has roughly 200 inhabitants is located on the less populated side of the fjord in the middle of nature. This means that their is lots of possibilities for hiking and kayak trips. In order to reach the other side of the fjord you will need to take the ferry that is about 10 km from Davik. Than it is another 15 km to the biggest village Nordfjordeid which has roughly 3000 inhabitants and something that comes close to a bar…
