The apartments are handpicked by the company to provide the guests with affordable luxury apartments and to make them feel at home while abroad by offering an unprecedented service.

Company culture: There is not really a hierarchy. You often work independently and sometimes together with your colleagues, but the atmosphere is informal. Everyone is helpful and friendly, always ready to help you whenever you have any problems or questions.

Brief description of your daily activities:
– Revenue and channel management report (monthly)
– Check and update the prices in different channels
– Add new properties to channels (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com)
– Compare listings on different channels
– Read, answer and forward emails
– Select potential partners and apartments
Brief description of your company assignment: Study the current situation of mergers, acquisitions and capital injections taking place in the market, and as a result find out what type of businesses these are and what the real strategy is of a selection of companies.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The supervision by the organization is really good. You are given the opportunity to work independently and to figure out things by yourself. If you are stuck, there is always someone to help you out.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do:
– Use your days off to explore the city and nearby places.
– Join events to get to know other students in the city.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Most things in the city are on walking distance from the office. Shopping streets, many restaurants and also sights are really close to the company.
A trip to Montserrat is definitely worth it! It only takes 1 hour by train from Plaça d’Espanya.
