In which department(s) are you working?
Marketing department
Brief description of your daily activities: Conducting research on e-commerce and affiliate platforms. Main project I worked on was launching an affiliate platform; wrote website pages, briefed designers, write e-mail templates, created databases and contacted businesses. Furthermore, posting blogs and analysing customers wit different programs.
Brief description of your company assignment: Identifying the new online target audiences of Global Work & Travel, by researching the existing and new target audiences, successful e-commerce websites, trends in e-commerce, best practices on how to target your audiences.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The company supervisor is quite busy, so I worked more often with marketing coordinator Kate. She gave me tasks and helped me with different programs. During meetings we discussed progress and set new goals/tasks.

What did the company pay for/to you? I was able to do activities the company offers their customers, like; visit a sanctuary, day trip to Byron Bay, Whale watching, surfing lessons etc.

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Go and explore everything Australia and the East-Coast has to offer! Also, inlands are beautiful rainforests and hike-trails.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Beach, surf spots, hike-trails, nature, wild animals, sanctuaries, skydiving, Brisbane city, Great Barrier Reef etc.
