In which department(s) are you working?

I was working at the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) department. In this department, you work for the headquarters of Center Parcs Europe.

Brief description of your daily activities: The activities I was daily working at were: keeping the social media tool App@Work up-to-date. App@Work is a social media tool that Center Parcs/Sunparks uses to keep employees involved and informed.

Brief description of your company assignment: My company assignment has changed because of the Coronavirus. During the period of the lockdown, Center Parcs’ management decided to communicate with its employees by means of a newsletter. Together with my internship supervisor I set up the newsletter for the Belgian colleagues.

Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: The supervision by the organisation was very good. I have worked a lot with my internship supervisor and there is daily communication with each other.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: If you are interested in CSR and would like to do an internship at the head office of a large organization, I recommend this place. I’ve learned a lot and had a great time. I’ve been given a lot of challenging tasks with a lot of responsibility. In addition, Center Parcs’ events are organized in this department and you will also be involved in them.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: During the week I lived at the park but in the weekends I went home. So I didn’t look around in the neighborhood.
