Other information
Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: I can only recommend this placement to another luxembourgish student or a german student who lives close to Luxembourg, as the cost of living in Luxembourg is EXTREMELY high.
When it comes to looking for a placement in general, I recommend calling everywhere that sparks your interest and sending out a ton of CVs + letter of motivation (in PDF!).
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: When visiting Luxembourg, many describe Luxembourg city as a classic fairytale city. We are also the country with the highest density of castles, and dutch people enjoy our camping sites in the north, close to many lovely nature paths.
On the other hand, if you live here longer, it is extremely expensive and if you go somewhere, you go by car, never by bike (cars will drive you over) and never by bus (even though public transport is free). Shopping and dining out in Luxembourg city is also expensive and as someone from Luxembourg, we drive to Germany or France to do all of our shopping!
