Type of organization: Bike Tour company
Organization’s activities: We organize bike tours around Seville and outside Seville. For example we go to Italica and the countryside. We also do bike rentals.
Target group of the organization: Adults between 25-50
Company culture: This is a very informal company. You can also really notice the Spanish culture. For example, if you have to start at 9:30, you do not come to work at 9:20 like most Dutch people would do, no here they arrive at 9:40.

The employees are good with each other, we do many things outside of work.

Information about your placement

In which department(s) are you working?

I manage the social media channels of the company and I give a bike tour once or twice a week.

Brief description of your daily activities: Helping in the shop with the bike rentals, giving bike tours once or twice a week, managing the social media and doing digital marketing, making blogs and vlogs and managing the plannings.
Brief description of your company assignment: I have to make an action plan for social media. How to give them a boost.
What can they do on the socials to score better, but also what does the company want to express.
Comment briefly on your supervision by the organization: They trust me a lot in what I do, they are happy about what I do.
There is one little thing: I do notice that they get more MBO interns. I am very good at working independently and I work quite fast. I do believe that this internship does not completely match my level HBO. I told them many times that the work is too easy and I have nothing else to do. I am almost done with my internship report, the research, so that means that next to that my tasks are very limited and not matching with my studies. Maybe Buas can take this into account that this internship at this company is not really HBO level.

How long in advance? It was the corona virus vaccination that I needed to fly. I was already vaccinated for 3 months before I came here.

My dad lives in Spain, so I am in Spain quite often and he has a Spanish wife so I was familiar with the culture and did not need to prepare.

Other information

Recommendations on what to do and what not to do: Visit things in Sevilla!!! The city has amazing things to offer so I would highly recommend to visit as many things as possible.
Leisure possibilities in the city/surroundings of where the placement took place: Doing a bike tour with us.
